Winter excursions

Aurora excursions run from September until April. 
We start our snowshoe excursions at Levi as soon as we have enough snow, normally late November to early December. We only use traditional wooden snowshoes, they are more ecological, much more quiet, just beautiful and easy to use. We do not need prepared trails since they work very well in deep snow.

Our tours will take you away from the normal beaten track and closer to nature. If you would like to experience something new, check our our wilderness skills and fireside cooking programs!

Hunt for aurora borealis with your own small private group with a photographer and a DSLR camera! Warm drinks and home-made snacks included plus you will receive photos by email after to remember this wonderful trip by! Duration 3hrs. Price 499€ per group.

This easy snowshoe tour is suitable for anyone with a basic level of fitness. We will head into the snowy wintery forests and your professional local guide will teach you about local flora and fauna as you explore. Hot drink and sweet home-made snack included. Duration 3hrs. Price 99€ per person.

Max group size 4 persons.

Explore the snowy forests in the stunning beauty of winter evening in Lapland. We will provide headtorches and hot drinks and a sweet home-made snack on the way. Getting away from the beaten track to gaze up on a hopefully clear sky full of stars and maybe even some northern lights! Duration 3hrs. Price 120€ per person. Max group size 4 persons

For those looking for a little bit more! This tour will take you into the heart of our local national park into stunning scenery. Wide open fells are something no-one should miss! Total duration 5hrs. Hot drink and a sweet home-made snack included. Price 140€ per person. Group size 1-4 persons

A tradtional kota will be our base where your guide will teach you about traditional ways of making a fire and you will get to join in cooking over it too! Marshmallows, pancakes and roasted sausages with condiments are delicious when made over an open fire. Our location in the national park is also perfect to keep and eye on the open skies if the auroras decide to come out! Group size 1-4 persons. Price 499€ per group. Duration 5hrs.
